Big open area with many interesting historical farm equipment but not very well maintained. The old farmhouse down the street is quite pretty with a lot of flowers. There are public restrooms in both areas. Discovery pass required here.

I wasn't expecting this State Park to be so big or have as much to view. I stopped, thinking I would be there for a quick 10 minutes to check out an old cabin and was surprised to find there is a trail that goes to the barn or you can drive to the end of the street and park and see a bunch of buildings, Garden, and trails. It was really pretty!

Hey there! This park is an amazing spot to soak in the serene atmosphere of a historic setting. You'll find sprawling fields that used to be farmland, and the barns are filled with fascinating antique equipment. Don't forget to pack your favorite lunch and treat yourself to a picnic at one of the charming tables nestled in the lush pasture under the shade of towering trees. Conveniently, there's a small parking area near the house and clean public restrooms available.

We went after Labor Day so the buildings were closed. The garden is pretty. The park could use better signs, especially to indicate that there is parking right down at the house. The trail between the northern and southern sections was rough in places, which could have been due to the windstorm a few days before we went. The old farm equipment in the sheds needs some maintenance. It would be helpful if the signs explaining what the equipment is and what it was used for were clearer. This should be done while there are still people alive who know what the equipment is.

I wanted to visit this place for the longest time never realizing that I can see it from the freeway... unfortunately the day we stopped the wind was blowing super fast scaring the dogs ... so we left them in the truck ... hope to be able to come back again later without the dogs to explore the place a bit more. Also the labels for the equipment were all gone... only a couple had descriptions for what they were.

Very neat little place we stopped at on the way back home from Spokane, over near Kittitas. It didn't seem like it would be much at first but there was. A beautiful area, of which I can see why that family settled there with lots of history here.

This was a welcome respite for road weary travelers. Since it is a state park, you'll need the Discover Pass or a $10 day pass, which they thoughtful have stocked the envelopes and pens you'll need there to submit cash to the park ranger. We stopped to walk around the north end of the park and use the restrooms there. They have picnic tables at both ends, restrooms at both ends. Neat farming equipment and a beautiful garden to meander thru. A large field to let the kids run. Ample parking too. Our new favourite spot on our way east.

These types of parks need to be looked at in context. There is not a huge amount to do or look at here but what there is is interesting. There is a small amount of very old farm equipment, some old buildings and a trail that goes out to an old school house. It's a nice place to stretch your legs and use the bathroom before you continue journey to to your next destination.
