Such a wonderful and accommodating space to take my toddler! They have multiple floors with different play/explore options. My son loves the top floor with the fire truck, fishing ship, and farmers market. They also have a calming corner upstairs with sensory items where overstimulated children may go and wind down (it has a door for privacy when in use 😊). If it is too busy for your younger toddlers they also have a farm area that is gated off from the older children. It has a family bathroom and a private nursing/changing room with a glider.

Echoing what many others have said— this is a really awesome interactive play “museum” for kids. Kids learn by play, but some easy to follow descriptions of the STEAM principles or historical notes featured in each area might have made it more of a museum than a huge play place. Best geared toward kids 2-10, but there is a small fenced off soft play area for toddlers. The layout was really well thought out, and the design of every floor was so so cool. I was constantly in awe of the artwork and build quality of each area. Would recommend trying to time your visit at non peak hours for the best experience. We visited at the same time a bday party was being held, and felt it was overrun. Nobody (parents nor staff) bothered returning items to their respective exhibit areas. So most areas were missing the interactive components and thus felt empty/pointless. Kids were definitely abusing the elevator which felt borderline dangerous. Free coffee was a great perk but hoping they clean out the machine. We would absolutely visit again but maybe first thing in the morning or later in afternoon.

The Above & Beyond Children's Museum is one of the best in the state. Not only is the facility immaculately clean, but they have such a variety of activities for children of all ages. My daughter especially enjoys the first floor/mezzanine sky crawl and my son likes climbing on the foam barnyard animals. Everything is well thought out and designed with imagination and little hands in mind. The top floor is my absolute favorite - it's bright, vibrant and so unique. The little market is adorable and the play food/groceries are super high quality. Fishing from the boat is adorable. My family gladly made the drive from Appleton and will do it again soon! We also loved the reading program - bedtime books for $5. How fun. Also, didn't know this until my second time there (while leaving) but they offer free coffee for parents in the lobby. Bonus!

The place is hands down awesome, my favorite children's museum in Wisconsin! For me personally, it's more fun than the one in Baraboo, Sun Prairie or even Madison. Wow, I was impressed with the opportunity to climb 3 flights of stairs, watch the puppet show, "fish" right off the deck, and there's so much natural light on the 3rd floor!

A fun and interactive museum for kids 6 and below. I feel like any older, they'll be bored. Our 4-year-old could have spent the whole day there!! She loved all the different activity areas from the dark room to the kitchen to the farm house.

There were at least 3 floors of different activities. I appreciate how every inch of the walls and ceiling were covered with something-- animals to outer space.

Everything was clean and well-maintained. I would station a staff or 2 at some "high risk" areas. Some children were climbing on things that could result in falls, and no one was around to monitor them.

I think parents should be free or half price or something. There's nothing for us parents to do🙂

We recently moved from India and was looking for a place to engage our son instead of keeping him home in front of TV and going here was the best decision we could have ever taken. It provides a fun environment to play and learn. Definitely recommend.
