It's a fantastic place for a family outing, with plenty of activities for all ages. We particularly loved the Sound Garden and the Fairy Garden, which offered great free play and creativity opportunities. The attention to detail in each storybook nook is impressive, making the experience truly magical.

However, there are a couple of downsides to consider. The number of bathrooms is limited, so be prepared for a bit of a wait during peak times. Additionally, no concessions are available on-site, so you might want to bring snacks and drinks. Despite these minor inconveniences, it’s worth a visit for anyone who loves literature and the great outdoors!

I just love how excited my kids get when they recognize which book their surroundings are representing.

We also enjoy building fairy houses in the nature play area.

It never fails to give us new book ideas for when we get home.

Our home city’s botanical garden membership got us in for free with reciprocity. Call in advance to be sure yours will.

What a magical and fantastical place. I was overawed by this small but mighty garden with its fairy book characters enmeshed in its nooks and crannies. My favorite: the three billy goats gruff by the bridge, the houses belonging to the three little pigs and the stately Koi pond. Oh to own such a garden. A mother was trying to read to her children but they were way too engrossed with the ‘goings on’ to pay her any heed. Nice try Mom, but I’m with the kids on this.

We had a magical experience at the gardens. It was well kept and perfect for our little ones. This felt ideal for preschool-elementary aged children. It was wagon/stroller accessible. Each area was well kept, and we enjoyed the gardens/flowers. We went on a Wednesday around 1pm. It was pretty busy. Overall, we spent about 1.5 hours. There are lots of great picture opportunities. Buy your tickets in advance for a slight discount.

This was a super cute place!!! The kids had a blast and us adults really loved it too. We would love to visit again. The admission is $10 in advance and $12 at the gate. Definitely worth the price!

Beautiful gardens that are based on a variety of books. Books are available to read in metal mailboxes around each garden. We went for the Sprout/Seedling toddler program. The kids enjoyed the park and the "Jump, Slither, Crawl" activities. They spent about 1.5 hours at the park and it was the perfect amount of time for the activities.

This is a mystical place to visit. I had a 10 and 1 year old on my visit and they both loved it. Storybooks available to match the gardens. Definitely worth the 2.5 hours to get there and the 12 bucks to get in . (The 1 year old was free) We got to dig in dirt, play in sand , make music, feel and smell flowers 😉 . So many cool storybooks displays.
