Today, I hiked the 4-mile Temescal Canyon trail. The weather was beautiful, and the trail was lined with lush greenery and wildflowers. I enjoyed the scenic views from the lookout point. The hike was invigorating, and loved the chance to connect with nature. Overall, it was a refreshing experience that left me feeling recharged.

In A Nutshell:

-The Temescal Canyon Trail is just okay, but could be better if whoever is in charge would cut back some of the overgrown brush & branches along the trails.
-If you are tick adverse & don't want to chance getting them on you especially during the summer months, I wouldn't suggest this trail.
-I did a tick check & did not get any ticks, but the chances of them landing on you are exponentially greater due to the overgrown brush you rub up against.
-Most people hike the various trails, but I decided to do a nice 4 mile loop run.
-The workout itself is very satisfying along w/ the nice, overcast weather.
-I would imagine the views to be nice after the low lying clouds dissipate.
-Parking is $12 per day, just pay using your credit card at the parking machine.

Overall, this is a good workout if you don't mind the narrow trail systems w/ overgrown plants & trees.

Essy trail. Steep incline but it's easy and there's some shade on the way. Great views of Santa Monica and Malibu. Great breeze to makes it easy to go up. $12 parking for the day

Such a fun spot to take off for a hike - up the canyon, along the ridge - or the connector to Will Roger’s. So many options! Only downside - beware the stop sign cameras in the park!

Great trail with awesome views of Santa Monica and Venice beach. It's tough, and you'll sweat. Takes about an hour and a half to get up to the top and back. Worth the hike for the views.

Great hike- but park along sunset or in the neighborhood and walk over to avoid the $12 parking fee. The longer loop takes about two hours. It is a steady incline hike so not easy, but not very steep at any point. It can be hard if you go at faster pace but very doable if you take your time.
