I have been attending Mass at the Cathedral for many years, and let me tell you, it has been an incredible journey! In 2012, I had the privilege of joining the cathedral choir on a pilgrimage to Spain and Fatima, which was an experience of a lifetime. The kindness and helpfulness of Bishop Soto and all the others involved in the cathedral are truly heartwarming.

Now, let me tell you about the amazing choir director, Rex. This person is simply extraordinary! His talent and passion for music shine through in every performance, making the Mass even more uplifting and inspiring.

One of the things I love most about this church is the abundance of prayer altars. You can light a candle or simply find a quiet spot to offer your most holy prayers. And if you take a moment to sit in the church and look up, you'll always find Jesus, the most high, eagerly waiting to hear your prayer requests or simply be present in adoration.

The beauty of the church is truly captivating. From the stations of the cross to the stunning artwork, every corner is filled with awe-inspiring sights. And let's not forget the holy water, which is always plentiful and ready for you to bless yourself or take some home.

The Cathedral also offers various sacraments and services, including weddings, baptisms, confessions, and prayers for all. Make sure to check their website for specific times and dates, as this is not my parish church.

In conclusion, I cannot recommend this Cathedral enough! It is a place of deep spirituality, breathtaking beauty, and a community that truly cares. Whether you're a regular attendee or a visitor, you're bound to have a truly remarkable experience.

Set your religion aside, stay quiet and respectful, people will be using the sanctuary for there beliefs when you visit. It has an echo so speak soft if you have to and avoid heeled shoes, it will sound like a bull is walking in boots lol. It will make your jaw drop as a work of art.

Beautiful Cathedral in the heart of Downtown Sacramento!

Weekday Mass is at 12:10pm, giving you just enough time to head over during the noon break.

The artwork, stained glass, and statues, not yo mention the woodwork, are truly inspiring and will quickly put you into a mood of awe and reverence.

I noticed several cameras and speakers, so that would make me think Masses are recorded and aired at some time.

Tours are available in both English and Spanish - check the website for times.

I did not see any place for parking, so that would make me believe you would need to find street parking or find a nearby garage.

This location is another place that is worth visiting when one is in Sacramento. It is situated just one block away from the Capitol building and is as aesthetically pleasing on the exterior as it is on the interior.

This beautiful Cathedral is by far one of my most favorite places to visit in all of Sacramento. I always feel a large, comforting presence when I enter the front door and it is so tranquil and peaceful inside. The beauty is overwhelming.
